To use it, you must have Android SDK installed. Responsibility is yours! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Verify if adb recognizes your phone<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>$ adb devices <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Copy the files to the phone<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>$ adb push rageagainstthecage \/data\/local\/tmp\/rageagainstthecage<br \/>\n$ adb push Superuser.apk \/data\/local\/tmp\/Superuser.apk<br \/>\n$ adb push busybox \/data\/local\/tmp\/busybox<br \/>\n$ adb push su \/data\/local\/tmp\/su<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Change file permissions<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>$ adb shell<br \/>\n$ chmod 700 \/data\/local\/tmp\/rageagainstthecage<br \/>\n$ chmod 755 \/data\/local\/tmp\/busybox<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Run the exploit<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>cd \/data\/local\/tmp<br \/>\n.\/rageagainstthecage<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Your adb shell will close, restart the adb, and reopen the shell<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>adb kill-server<br \/>\nadb start-server<br \/>\nadb shell<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Your adb shell should change from $ to #. If this not happens, retry the steps.<\/p>\n<p>Mount your file system with read\/write permissions<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 \/dev\/block\/mtdblock3 \/system<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Install busybox<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>cd \/data\/local\/tmp<br \/>\n.\/busybox cp busybox \/system\/bin<br \/>\nchmod 4755 \/system\/bin\/busybox<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Use busybox to copy and install the other files<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>busybox cp Superuser.apk \/system\/app<br \/>\nbusybox cp su \/system\/bin<br \/>\nchmod 4755 \/system\/bin\/su<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mount your system files to read only<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 \/dev\/block\/mtdblock3 \/system<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Done. Your phone is rooted. To try it, reopen adb shell, and type &#8220;su&#8221;.
