Changing the menu buttons positions on Ubuntu 11.10

Hello

I’m still setting up my Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). Let’s change the menu buttons (minimize, maximize, close) position to the right (again).

Open your Terminal
$ sudo apt-get install gconf-editor

Run it
$ gconf-editor

Go to “apps/metacity/general/”
Find “button_layout” and update the value to:

menu:minimize,maximize,close

Save, logout, login. Done!

Best Regards,
Matheus

  1. Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
