Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add this lines:
Section “InputDevice”
Identifier “Configured Mouse”
Driver “Mouse”
Option “CorePointer”
Option “Device” “/dev/ttyS0”
Option “Protocol” “IntelliMouse”
Option “ZAxisMapping” “4 5”

Remember that your Protocol can be other, so verify it typing:
