Changing the menu buttons positions on Ubuntu 11.10

Hello

I’m still setting up my Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). Let’s change the menu buttons (minimize, maximize, close) position to the right (again).

Open your Terminal
$ sudo apt-get install gconf-editor

Run it
$ gconf-editor

Go to “apps/metacity/general/”
Find “button_layout” and update the value to:

menu:minimize,maximize,close

Save, logout, login. Done!

Best Regards,
Matheus

  1. Hey! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?

    I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for
    another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of
    a good platform.

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
    I think that you could do with a few pics
    to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this
    is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
