Changing the menu buttons positions on Ubuntu 11.10

Hello

I’m still setting up my Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). Let’s change the menu buttons (minimize, maximize, close) position to the right (again).

Open your Terminal
$ sudo apt-get install gconf-editor

Run it
$ gconf-editor

Go to “apps/metacity/general/”
Find “button_layout” and update the value to:

menu:minimize,maximize,close

Save, logout, login. Done!

Best Regards,
Matheus

  1. Reading this slowly in the morning before opening email, and a stop at thespeakeasybuffalo extended that protected attention, content that earns the prime morning reading slot before the daily distractions begin is content with elevated status and this site has earned that prime slot consistently in my recent reading habits clearly.

  2. Just want to say your article is as surprising.
