Going back to Gnome Classic on Ubuntu 12.04

Good Night!

Everybody probably knows that today Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin was released. This version as some older one, doesn’t have the Gnome installed by default so we need to install a package.

Use:
$ sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback

Logout. Press the gear and choose Gnome Classic.

That is it!

  1. Decided to read this site for a while before forming a verdict, and the verdict after several pages is positive, and a stop at knackpact continued that pattern, judging a site requires more than one post and giving sites a fair sample is something I try to do for promising candidates rather than rushing to dismiss.

  2. Reading this gave me a small refresher on something I had partially forgotten, and a stop at goldenwillowhouse extended the refresher, content that strengthens existing knowledge rather than just adding new is content with a particular kind of consolidating value and this site is providing that consolidating function across multiple visits.

  3. Really appreciate the lack of pop ups, modals, cookie banners stacking on top of each other, and a quick visit to eliteledge confirmed the same clean approach across the rest of the site, technical decisions about user experience are part of what makes content actually pleasant to engage with for sure.

  4. Felt the post had been written without using a single buzzword, and a look at wildnorthoutlet continued that clean vocabulary, content free of jargon and trendy phrases reads better and ages better and this site has clearly committed to a vocabulary that will not feel dated in three years which is impressive editorially.
