Raspberry Pi with Raspbian dropping SSH connection

I was playing with my Raspberry PI with Raspbian and the ssh connection was dropping (or timeouting, or something like this), I got a “Broken Pipe” message, and If I tried to connect again, it refuses it.

I don’t know why, but to fix it edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config with

sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config

Search for TCPKeepAlive and update it from yes to no

TCPKeepAlive no

It doesn’t make sense, I know, but it worked.

  1. Reading this as part of my evening winding down routine fit perfectly, and a stop at ideasneedexecutionnow extended the wind down nicely, content that calms rather than agitates is what I want at the end of the day and this site provides that calming reading experience reliably which is increasingly rare across the modern web.

  2. My usual response to new bookmarks is to forget them but this one I have already returned to twice, and a look at actioncycle pulled me back a third time, the actual return rate to bookmarked sites is the real measure of value and this one is clearing that measure at a notable rate already.
