In this first post I’m going to introduce myself a little better. My name is Matheus Bratfisch, 19, I’m student of 3rd semester of Computer Sience in UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) and actually I’m working in Edugraf – Educacional Software Lab. The subjects i already course:

I intend to share some knowledge and to provide here some knowledge that I learned in those classes, projects and reports about them, knowledge gained in Edugraf and any other relevant information.

    So — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

    How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

    The single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out returns instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at betting return calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

    What actually made a difference is the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.

    Not all sunshine though. The interface feels very functional, let’s say — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.

    Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
