Hello,

This semester I have data structure class, my professor Aldo Von Wangenheim, decided to use C in the first part of the class, and in the end C++. If you don’t know it, he recommended this C course. He asked us to solve some exercices. Me and my colleague solved it and I’m uploading it here.

    Right — been on this thing for about five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. I’m UK based, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.

    The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I never could work out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

    The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up.     The thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the more serious bits. There’s an implied probability converter which shows you the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll.     OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

    How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could figure out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

    The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in the price and your stake and you get returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at singles calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

    The thing that really changed how I bet was the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter that shows the overround, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

    It’s not perfect mind. The design is pretty plain — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works although the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but worth saying.

    Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, try it — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
