Ubuntu 12.04 – Setting up Samba (3.6.3)

Hello,

Today I decided to format my Home Server and when I setuped it I had a few problems.

“Failed to Retrieve Share List from Server” when I was trying to connect to my ubuntu 12.04 server. Inside the [global] section I add:

name resolve order = bcast host

I did this in my normal computer too. (I’m not exactly sure that this is needed I don’t think so). Rebooted and it is working.

Inside my logs I was getting a lot of smb_panic():

[2013/03/07 22:13:43.607536, 0] lib/util.c:1122(smb_panic) smb_panic(): calling panic action [/usr/share/samba/panic-action 1928]

(Again, I’m not sure that this is totally and exclusive related to this problem, but it worth to say, so you could try it too.)

Other message that I was seeing when trying to smbclient -L SERVER was:

NT_STATUS_PIPE_BROKEN

If you want to see my full smb.conf file keep reading!

My configs file is a Shared folder which is read only, but anyone could read it (guest yes), and the other one is Writable, where anybody can write and read (without authentication). In other words, all my setup don’t uses authentications, it is all done by guests users. This is particularly good in my case, because I can put some interesting files in Shared Folder and guarantee that nobody will screw everything and the Writable is good to add new files to the server or a “temporary backup folder”.

If I remember anything else, I will let you guys know.

Thanks,
Matheus

Just some small changes from default file, but to solve this problem took me sometime.

Zapisalem sie z polecenia kolegi, szczerze mowiac bez entuzjazmu. Biblioteka gier jest spory — gdzies ponad 3 tys. pozycji, Pragmatic, NetEnt, Betsoft. Gates of Olympus odpalam najczesciej, choc w ostatnich tygodniach ogrywam nowsze rzeczy z Yggdrasil.

Jedna rzecz mnie denerwuje to wyszukiwarka — potrafi zwrocic bzdury.

Obrot wynosi x60, wiec bez cudow, min. depozyt gdzies w okolicach 20 zl. Jesli szukasz biezacych promocji, to zajrzyj na https://victoriachambers.com.ng/darmowy-voucher-mostbet-2026-bez-depozytu-metody-platnosci-i-wyplaty zanim zalozysz konto. Rejestracja trwala dwie minuty, weryfikacja jeden dzien.

  2. Gram tu od jakichs trzech miesiecy, wiec mam prawo cos napisac. Znalazlem to szukajac czegos z szybkimi wyplatami, z prostego powodu — wkurzalo mnie weryfikacji ciagnacej sie w nieskonczonosc gdzie indziej.

Ja gram glownie w Sweet Bonanza i Book of Dead, banal, wiem.

Klasyka: ruletka, blackjack, i oczywiscie game shows typu Crazy Time — wieczorami potrafie tam zostac dluzej niz planowalem.

Warunek obrotu to x35 — ani rewelacja, ani dramat. Byly tez 20 spinow bez wplaty za weryfikacje, choc to akcja czasowa. Zerknij na warunki zanim klikniesz — oferta bywa inna niz tydzien wczesniej, aktualne rzeczy widac na fieryplay casino zanim zalozysz konto.

Rejestracja zajela mi dwie minuty, minimalna wplata 20 zl. Place karta, dostepne sa rowniez Skrill, Neteller i krypto.

Narzedzia do samokontroli sa, sprawdzalem.

Ja osobiscie najwiecej klikam Gates of Olympus i Sweet Bonanza, nic odkrywczego.

Blackjack, ruletka, no i te teleturnieje typu Crazy Time — potrafi wciagnac na dluzej niz zakladalem.

Konto zrobilem w dwie minuty, min. depozyt to 20 zl.

  4. Thanks for your post on this website. From my own experience, there are times when softening way up a photograph could possibly provide the digital photographer with a little an inventive flare. Many times however, this soft blur isn’t exactly what you had at heart and can usually spoil a normally good picture, especially if you intend on enlarging it.

  5. Thanks for the suggestions shared on the blog. Something also important I would like to convey is that weight-loss is not supposed to be about going on a dietary fad and trying to lose as much weight that you can in a few months. The most effective way to shed pounds is by taking it gradually and using some basic ideas which can allow you to make the most from a attempt to lose weight. You may know and already be following some of these tips, although reinforcing information never hurts.
